MSCC MAY 21 STAR OF THE WEEK: SOME MOPAR MAGIC AT A SMALL TOWN SHOW
Small town car shows are the best because they’re more of a community gathering than the larger urban centers.
The Main Street locale really works in a small town because downtown is still the hub of activity in the smaller venues.
This MSCC Star of the Week shot was taken on a downtown street at a show yesterday.
It was a good example of some Mopar magic at a great little small town show.
MSCC MAY 20 STAR OF THE DAY: OLD SCHOOL ’55 CHEVY SEDAN DEFINES AN ERA
There was an era in the 1960s that really defined a specific trend.
The Gassers exploded in popularity at the track as did the Super Stocks and both classes had the high front-low rear, ready to launch stance so it wasn’t long before the street cars picked up the look.
This MSCC Star of the Day old school ’55 Chevy sedan is a throwback to that particular look.
It defines a specific era in the 60s.
MSCC MAY 19 STAR OF THE DAY: THE 2017 VERSION OF 50S HOT ROD HOODLUMS
Hot rod B-movies were big draws at the drive-ins back in the 50s and early 60s.
Every kid wanted to be that cool punk in a leather jacket, hanging out with like-minded hoodlums and driving those hoodlum hot rods.
This MSCC Star of the Day tells you what those punks are driving 60 years later.
They’re the 2017 version of 50s hot rod hoodlums.

A rural setting is great but a classic farm truck is the icing on the cake.
This MSCC Star of the Day IHC is the icing on this cake.
It’s the perfect truck for a perfect country scene.
MSCC MAY 17 STAR OF THE DAY: YES, A PLANE QUALIFIES IF IT’S ON A TRAILER
There have been numerous MSCC Stars of the Day spotted on a car trailer.
Some have been projects in the works while others have been pristine show cars—the trailer is the common denominator.
This MSCC Star of the Day is also on a trailer but in this case it’s an airplane in mid-project stage.
Yes, a plane qualifies as an MSCC Star if it’s on a trailer.
MSCC MAY 16 STAR OF THE DAY—WHO SAID A MINI COULDN’T BE A HIGHWAY STAR?
Deep Purple released ‘Highway Star’ on their album ‘Machine Head’ in 1972.
That song tapped into every high school kid’s dream of driving the fastest, nastiest and potentially most self-destructive car on the planet.
Deep Purple probably didn’t have cars like this MSCC Star of the Day Mini in mind when they wrote the song but this little Brit classic was on the highway a few days ago.
Who could deny it was a highway star?
MSCC MAY 15 STAR OF THE DAY: THE CONVERTIBLE VERSION OF THE 1ST GEN BARRACUDA
There were two pony cars introduced in 1964—the first one was the Barracuda and the Mustang followed a few weeks later with a spectacular debut.
The Barracuda was based on the Valiant platform but it came in only one version—the fastback.
This MSCC Star of the Day ’64 Valiant convertible is a good example of what other versions of the Barracuda would look like in real life.
It’s the convertible version of the 1st Gen Barracuda.
