Most Fallen Stars are literally consigned to the scrap heap of automotive history.

They get piled up, piled on, covered over with dirt or hidden so far back in the bush grizzly bears get lost in the same area.

Many of these Fallen Stars are well past any practical use and some have even lost what little post-retirement function they had as landfill for river banks.

Some of these September Fallen Stars were once used to brace a river bank but natural forces like a major flood took them out of the game.

One of the saddest car ads you’ll ever see is “ buy this project car or it’s gone to the recyclers in two days”. The grim reality is most car guy express sympathy but few jump to the rescue so 48 hours later an old classic is on its way to China in the form of a big metal cube.

That’s the reality of the Fallen Star.
