There are many reasons why a car has a beginning, middle and end in life.
The most obvious one is simple-machines don’t last forever.
Less obvious is the planned obsolescence behind these old rides.
The 50s and 60s were riddled with cars that became old overnight as styles changed and the public wanted a more contemporary look.
That ’59 Buick was a dream ride when it was new, but by 1961 it looked like something Fred Flintstone would drive.
2015 is a different story because these old rides all represent an eternal time and place where cars never get old or obsolete.
