The car culture rises to the occasion every time–especially when the community asks for help.

That was true on August 12, 2010 when a young gearhead with a terminal illness named Aidan Fitzgerald wanted a car show in the parking lot of his hospital.

The car show was his idea but the other residents got a rare break from the monotony of hospital life thanks to Aidan’s need to see some cool cars right on his doorstep.

This wasn’t a great night–there was a massive rainstorm earlier in the evening, but despite the ugly weather the car guys rolled in and the show went on.

It was a big night for Aidan and the other patients in the hospital, so here are some highlights from a show that pulled a kid out of his hospital bed into his own personal car show.
