Car shows are a magnet for people from all walks of life. They’re not the exclusive domain of car guys because you don’t have to rebuild a 1954 Dodge to really appreciate how unique a 54 Dodge is until you see one in real life.
Kids are the real judges at a car show because they have no filter, so when they see something like a 1963 Thunderbird they give you a gut level response.
A car like that is so unique to a 6-year-old kid you could tell him that it was found in a wrecked UFO and you’d get serious buy-in from the little tot…
My Favorite Martian buy-in.
There’s no age limit at a car show. 85-year-old women have no interest in actually rebuilding a 47 Hudson but they sure have some fond memories of a 47 Hudson from their past at a drive-in movie back in 1952.
Car guys are the engineers behind a car show but the real winners are the non-car people of all ages who take a unique trip back in time at a car show.
