We live in a chaotic era where information and disinformation are waging an all-out war on your stress levels.

The victims in this horrific mess are any persons who are forced to endure a constant barrage of bad news in their lives, simply because information or disinformation has become weaponized for nefarious and politicized purposes that force us to take a side.

We at MyStarCollectorCar have witnessed the red alert levels of anxiety, stress-and even fear-over the past few years, so we decided to offer some car guy suggestions about how to escape the vicious propaganda war in our lives.

The first order of business: buy an old car or truck because it will be the best investment you will make in today’s world. A vintage vehicle will be your ride back to a simpler time before a barrage of guided communication missiles hit your news/media sources with their own built-in biases and agendas. In today’s world, your stress levels will hit new highs-even if you agree with the message, while an old car will take you right back to the golden era well before the dawn of social media.

How does a vintage ride get you back to a less stressful time? The main reason is its simplicity. Ancient vehicles did not have modern communication devices and relied mainly upon AM radio to connect with the outside world. Sadly, today’s AM radio stations consist mainly of news and talk show choices, but the old car’s radio can easily be adjusted with sharp blows from a ball peen hammer if these are the only station options left on the AM dial in your region.

Mercifully, we at MyStarCollectorCar live in an area with an old school music Top 40 AM radio station. The station has a strong signal, plus we can turn off the old car’s radio whenever they get to the news at the top of the hour. We don’t have to use a hammer on the radio, and we have a solid portable MP3 file of golden oldies in case we get out of signal range for the golden oldies station.

Consequently, the highly intrusive endless loop of bad news information that is an insidious part of our modern world is trapped on the other side of the car window if you choose to buy a retro ride. Sure, you can add modern conveniences into the mix, including cell phones, but you can also adjust the modern phones and portable electronic devices with a ball peen hammer if the outside 21st century world attempts to creep into your old car. We should add that an old-fashioned tire wrench will work well if you didn’t have a ball peen hammer handy for these occasions.

MyStarCollectorCar advises our readers to reject the long reach of modern communication war zones and simply listen to the sound of your old car on the road. Listen to the car’s wind noise, road noise, old school engine noise, and any other rattles or squeaks that come with the territory in an old car.

These retro ride road sounds should be music to a car guy’s ears and are a stress-free shelter from all the other bad news noise in our modern world. An overly complicated world is not welcome in an old car.
