Caroline Tester is a farm girl at heart, so naturally her choice of ideal vehicles is a pickup truck.
But not just any pickup truck.
This is the legendary 1956 Ford F-100 pickup truck.
Caroline was a high school girl when she first developed a fondness for the 1956 F-100. Bear in mind that a ’56 Ford truck was built long before Caroline got to high school, but she already knew that the F-100 was destined to be a classic in her world, let alone the collector world.
So a Ford from the past was definitely going to be a part of Caroline’s future, when the right truck came along. It took awhile, but Caroline finally got the pickup of her high school dreams.
However Caroline is a practical girl with a practical farm-girl’s sense. Everybody has a job on a farm, including recently purchased antique trucks. Caroline’s F-100 is a part-timer these days (winters off), but it does work in the summer as a feed-hauler for some of the livestock in Caroline and her husband’s operation.
The boys at the feed store are pretty gentle when they load the old-timer, so nobody need fear that the F-100 is being mistreated in its golden years.
The other job for the truck is appearances at car shows during the summer. The F-100 is an eye-catching beauty that always draws a crowd at every show. It is a 272 V8 model with an automatic transmission, so it will travel any highway at 70 mph without breaking a sweat.
The truck is a restored original that made a country girl very happy when she finally got her dream vehicle after a long search.
Congratulations Caroline, the two of you make a great combination.
