WHAT DO CARTOON STARS DRIVE IN THE REAL WORLD?

We all grew up with cartoons–in kiddie world the stars of these cartoons were our heroes.

That raises a simple question.

The first example is a well-known cartoon rabbit named Bugs Bunny.

Bugs Bunny is a fast-talking, wise cracking guy who likes carrots and tormenting Elmer Fudd in no particular order. That makes Bugs the perfect candidate for a 427 Cobra because guys who talk fast also like to drive fast.

The second example is Bug Bunny’s gun totin’, rabbit shootin’, arch enemy Elmer Fudd.

Elmer is a dull, slow-witted guy with a big shotgun, so his choice would be a VW Beetle because they’re slow (like Elmer) and they can hold a 12-gauge shotgun. It’s a perfect fit.

The third example is also from the Warner Brothers classic cartoon franchise.

His name is Daffy Duck. Daffy would be a perfect fit for a 1957 Chevy taxicab because he always needs a job and a ’57 Chevy has a million parts available. That’s a good fit for a duck who doesn’t win many battles in life.

Huckleberry Hound is a fine example of Hanna-Barbera cartoon stars.

Ol’ Huck is an average dog with average life skills, so a 50s Ford pickup would be the perfect fit. It wouldn’t be pretty, but–like Daffy’s taxicab, this truck would give an unskilled Huck Hound a job as a landscaper.

Homer Simpson is into his 100th year (or so it seems) as a lead character in a major cartoon series.

There was an episode where Homer bought a 1970 Road Runner at a police auction, so it’s easy to imagine him behind the wheel of a 1st -Gen ‘runner.  A Road Runner’s the kind of car that would have grated cool on a middle-aged fat guy like Homer Simpson.

Peter Griffin from ‘Family Guy’ is another fat, slow-witted guy because fat, slow-witted guys are comedy gold in Cartoon Land.

It’s hard to pin down how old Peter is, but his attitude suggest he was a 70s party guy. A 70s party guy’s go-to ride would be a 70s Chevy van because a van guy was high up the food chain at bush keg parties. And Peter was definitely a keg guy.

The Brain was a big name in the Warner Brothers ‘Animaniacs’ stable.

He was a constantly frustrated, evil genius who was always trying to conquer the world. The Brain spoke like Orson Welles, so he had a tone that suggested he travelled at a higher level. The Brain’s car would be a vintage Rolls Royce—the perfect car for a guy with a giant ego.

The final cartoon guy is Eric Cartman from ‘South Park’.

Eric is a fat kid with serious self-control problems, but thing is clear—he’s always right matter how off base he is on any topic. The perfect car for Cartman is a 1976 Cadillac El Dorado convertible because it’s big enough for a fat kid–plus it’s outlandish enough for big-mouthed guy with no self-awareness.
