We were very happy with 2017 here at MyStarcollectorCar.
Our numbers show we beat 2016 website traffic by about 45% in 2017.
No surprise that we intend to keep the pedal to the metal in 2018.
In fact, we are prepared to make resolutions for 2018 that will keep things moving forward at turnpike speeds for MSCC and, more importantly, we have a good track record when it comes to successful New Year’s resolutions here at MyStar.
Incidentally, “turnpike speeds” may be an old, somewhat puzzling term for some of our readers. For our younger MSCC readers, it means fast freeway speeds in a throwback kind of way.
The concept behind a New Year’s resolution is generally a simple form of self-improvement and we at MyStarCollectorCar stick to this program when it comes to our game plan at the start of every year.
Thus our resolutions are always based upon a sincere belief that our bar must be set higher every year- and 2018 is no exception to this strict rule here at MyStar.
One resolution will involve our tech guy because we want to make a few subtle improvements to our MyStarCollectorCar website presentation. Our hired gun/nerd will advise us along the way and he will be the magician behind the improvements. We will be the idea guys.
The computer guy was able to make a radical improvement on our website during the Summer of 2015 and now we will once again consult with him in order to make some subtle changes during our “what-if?” sessions with him in 2018.
Another of our New Year’s resolutions here at MyStarCollectorCar will be to add visits to other car shows in 2018. We have many favorite annual shows, but we want to extend our reach even further when it comes to shows and will be at additional shows in other locations during 2018.
We like the vibe at car shows and make no secret about how much we enjoy an occasion when a community gets involved with the shows and delivers a home run. A show’s success is highly dependent upon the people factor in our opinion here at MyStarCollectorCar.
We also make no secret about our idea of a great foundation for a MyStarCollectorCar story: a personal connection between the owner and the vintage vehicle. The owners tell the story and we take the notes about the relationship.
Consequently, we are not always about the old ride’s vital statistics because a good back story is even more important to us at MSCC so, in all likelihood, it may not be a horsepower question as much as it may be a question of the heart when it comes to our MyStarCollectorCar articles.
The search for a personal relationship between car and owner has always been the platinum standard for us, so a resolution to find that kind of relationship is not a huge reach for us. Nevertheless, it is a fundamental part of our resolution every year-and 2018 is not an exception to the rule for us.
We at MyStarCollectorCar typically do not have a long list of New Year’s resolutions but we are highly interested in holding true to them. 2018 will be a fun year for us-stay tuned.
