Long term MSCC readers already know the website went live on April 2, 2009 but what most people don’t know is the process started two years earlier.
The first car stories were taken on June 2, 2007 at the Three Hills, AB car show and there were many shows over the next two years before the site went live.
Technically you could say the MSCC concept is ten years old in 2017 so here’s a look back at some of the numerous shows over the last several years.
Obviously the first show was the June 2007 Three Hills show.
The Bentley, AB car show in August 2007 also gave up some great stories.
There was a spring show in Red Deer, AB in May, 2008
Lacombe, AB held a show in their Michener Park back in July 2008 but it’s since moved to another area of town.
Red Deer, AB hosted a massive Super Run in 2009.
There was a Mopar show in Red Deer later that same month in 2009.
2010 was the last time the Coast to Coasters crossed Canada and they hosted a show in Ponoka, AB in August.
The local car guys held a show at the Red Deer, AB hospital the next day in August 2010.
Sylvan Lake, AB hosted a show that same weekend in August 2010.
There was a show in Blackfalds, AB in June 2011.
Wetaskiwin, AB hosted their annual History Road show in June 2011.
Calgary, AB hosted a Mopar show in August 2011.
The 2012 season kicked off May 2012 in Didsbury, AB.
Innisfail, AB hosted a show in September 2012.
High River, AB ended the season in September 2012.
They used to host the Olds, AB show downtown like this one in June 2013.
Mulhurst Bay, AB had a show in August 2013.
Glennifer Lake, AB also had their show in August 2013.
There was a big May 2014 car show in Revelstoke, BC.
Peachland, BC had a show that same weekend in 2014.
Donalda, AB held their show for the last time in June 2014–they moved it to later in the year after 2014.
They held a show in Moose Jaw, SK in early June 2015.
ESRA had their annual show in Edmonton, AB in June 2015.
Irricana, AB had a big truck show in August 2015.
July 2016 was the date for the Rocky Mountain House, AB.
St Albert, AB had their show in August 2016.
Pigeon Lake, AB also hosted a show in August 2016.
These are just a few of the shows from the last ten years and the next ten years for MSCC Stars of the Show are going to be incredible thanks to the dedication of the owners.
