JUNE 4 STAR OF THE WEEK-A CLASSIC TRUCK MAKES THE CHOICE EASY

There’s nothing like a classic shot of a classic vehicle. In this case it’s a 1954 GMC truck. This is the kind of combination that makes the Star of the Week an easy pick…

JUNE 3 STAR OF THE DAY-A LOOK BACK IN TIME AT THE DRIVE-IN

This was taken a few years ago but it does illustrate what was happening decades ago-a classic Vette, a Cuda and a row of other automotive icons with a drive-in screen in the background.

Look for an upcoming piece on the demise of the drive-in movie-the Star of the Day…

JUNE 2 STAR OF THE DAY-A PONTIAC FIREBIRD IN LESS THAN PRISTINE

CONDITION

The Star of the Day is based on gut reaction-this might not be the prettiest car on the planet but it really stood out.

At the end of the day that’s all you ask of a Star of the Day.

JUNE 1 STAR OF THE DAY… A CLASSIC 1962 JAGUAR MAKES THE GRADE

Just to drive home a point-we are non-denominational car guys at mystar.

This was a cool car, it was a great story and it made a nice late “autumn at sundown” picture. Jags are cars that come with a presence-this was a great example of their understated class.

MAY 31 STAR OF THE DAY-A ROW OF HERBIES AT A GREAT EARLY SUMMER CAR SHOW

This was taken at a recent early summer car show-technically the “Star of the Day” here is a group of Beetles.

The significance of this shot is pretty basic-it was a great day and there’s nothing like a row of Herbies to put a smile on everybody’s face…

MAY 30 STAR OF THE DAY AN OLD PLYMOUTH’S LAST STOP FOR GAS

This old Plymouth was last registered in Oregon back in 1957. If the Ford Pinto wasn’t in the background you’d think that the gas station closed at the same time.

Either way neither car nor gas station is still functioning-that’s too bad…

MAY 29 STAR OF THE DAY-A CLASSIC 1954 GMC TRUCK…AT NIGHT

The Star of the Day isn’t confined to daylight hours. Here’s a case in point…a 1954 GMC pickup seen long after the sun had gone down at a car show. Neil Diamond was right- “Thank the Lord for the Night Time”.
