Regular MyStar readers already know about Jack—the 1995 Buick Roadmaster station wagon.
Jack was the road warrior on the run to the West Kelowna World of Wheels car show this past weekend.
Jack ran like a champ over the 1000-mile round trip, so these were some of the many highlights at a great little show.

I found a mint, two-owner 1975 Nova at the show.

These Novas are far less common than their 60s and early 70s cousins, and this one had a great story behind it. Look for that story in late 2025.
I also found a unicorn at the West Kelowna car show.

It was a Checker Marathon—that’s rare enough. This was an extremely rare station wagon version, so it was the first one I’ve ever seen at a car show. This Checker story will be a welcome addition to the MyStar owner’s story lineup in 2025.
There was a tribute 1970 Chevelle SS at the show.

This story involved a trade, a stalled project and lots of negotiation. You’ll read about it in a few months on MyStar.
A 1961 Chrysler Saratoga four-door hardtop also graced this West Kelowna event.

I have a huge weakness for Exner fin cars, and this ’61 Chrysler was next to the Chevelle–so the right thing to do was get the details. It was worth the effort—this is a great garage-build story. You’ll find it on MyStar later this year.
The last story I found was a mint 1967 Charger with a big-block factory 440 under the hood.

I have a weakness for these first-gen Chargers, so this red beauty called to me. That’s why you’ll read about it this year on MyStar.

Jim spotted a 1949 Willys Jeep station wagon at West Kelowna.

It was called Bruce, and this Jeep evolved into a restored classic thanks to the efforts of its current owner–and the previous owner. You won’t see a nicer example of a ’49 Jeep wagon—MyStar will have it on the pages in a few months.
Jim also found a 1966 Beaumont Super Duty.

This is a Canadian version (sold at Pontiac dealers) of the Chevelle SS 396 and this car looked stock, but it was a slug-you-in-the-face monster. You’ll like this MyStar owner’s story later this year.
There was another Canadian at the show in the form of a 1965 Mercury M-100.

You won’t find a nicer example of a Canuck truck—you’ll read about it on MyStar in a few months.
Jim found a resto-mod 1982 Chevy Sierra square-body shortbox at West Kelowna.

This pickup was a people magnet because these trucks are extremely hot in the hobby today. Read about it later this year on MyStar.
Trucks are becoming more prominent at shows, so Jim also found a ’69 GMC Sierra at West Kelowna.

The Sierra was a big project and it was done by its technician owner, so this was a flawless truck done to the next level. Look for it later this year on MyStar.
There were many reasons to like the West Kelowna car show—you just read about ten of them. PS—Jack was a boss on the road.
