Rocky Mountain House, Alberta was hit by a double tornado last week, but fortunately the town was spared major damage.
This week they were hit by a great car show.

The Western Wheels Car Club hosts the show on their main street downtown, so you get a view of the foothills near the Rocky Mountains. It’s on a hill so the backdrop is amazing and the old buildings make spectacular backgrounds.
I found a 1947 Chevy Stylemaster two-door sedan at the Rocky show. There were many things to like about this car because it was built to drive real miles in the real world.
This car was close to the end zone as a project when he bought it, but it required a few tweaks to get it over the goal line. It’s a road warrior now, so you’ll learn how and why it was built in a 2027 MyStar owner’s story.
The second car I found was a 1958 Impala convertible. These cars always sell themselves as a story and this one was a fantastic example.
It was rescued as a hulk and brought back to mint condition. You’ll learn all about it in ’27 on MyStar because this classic’s story has to be told.
The third story I found was a 1966 Coronet 500 two-door hardtop. This story had more twist and turns than a Hollywood mystery movie because–what was gone forever was saved.

Jim found an amazing 1956 Ford F-350. This truck is amazing because you’ll never see another one just like it.
The owner wanted to “do something different”—that’s an understatement because this truck is in another universe. The best part is that you’ll learn everything about this big Ford truck when it becomes a future MyStar owner’s story.
Jim found a museum-quality 1979 Volare two-door at the Rocky show. You’ll notice how mint the car looks in the picture–that’s a big feature of the story behind the car.
You’ll find out how many miles are on this incredible survivor, why the miles are so low and what the future holds for this rare car.
The last vehicle Jim found was an ’82 Dodge pickup. This one has a story that goes back to the owner’s high school days. There have been many changes to this workhorse since then, because its owner had a vision for the truck that sets it apart from every other Dodge pickup from that era.
There are so many personal custom touches to this truck it will take a complete story to tell it. You’ll get that next year on MyStar.
They had a weather disaster last week, but this year’s Western Wheels Car Show in Rocky Mountain House was a solid event. The town deserved it—this was a well-run, first class show set in the foothills of Alberta.
