There are many car shows on the schedule every year, but the one in High River is a spectacular way to end the season.
This event doesn’t get the press, but High River is probably the biggest car show event in Western Canada.
It’s Car Guy Woodstock at the end of September every year–but they handle it like professionals they are. For the record, it’s officially called the Brian Chipchase Memorial Show, so here are the MyStar highlights.

I found a mint 1970 HemiCuda tribute that drew a lot of attention. This car would tick off all the boxes if you ordered one at your local Plymouth 57 years ago.

The next car was another 1970 Cuda. This wasn’t by design; it just worked out that way.
The reason it worked out is because this was clearly an AAR Cuda survivor car and it had the scars to prove it. You’ll learn everything about this rare E-body next year on MyStar.
The third highlight was a 1955 Pontiac Sedan Delivery. This was probably the rarest production car at the show–you’ll find out why in 2027.
The fourth car I found was another incredibly rare wagon. It was a 1957 Buick Caballerro four-door hardtop station wagon.
This was one of only two I’ve seen in my travels, and it was an awesome resto-mod. Learn why after it becomes a MyStar future owner’s story.
You always leave stories on the table at High River, and this year was no exception.
I spotted a 1961 Chrysler four-door sedan with a spectacular paint job and a Gen III hemi under the hood.
You have to ask questions about a more-door sedan built like that, so hopefully I can track the owner down.
Jim found a ’68 Pontiac Parisienne two-door hardtop at the High River show, but he didn’t find the owner.
He left a card because this car drew a lot of attention and hopes to track him down.
Jim found an incredible 1946 Studebaker pickup custom. You won’t believe what he started with on this project.

Jim did find a 1972 IHC 1210 with a 1928 Essex trailer behind it. This was a big rescue mission that speaks to the ambition of car guys.

Jim spotted an unbelievably nice 1957 Chevy wagon at High River.
This was a MyStar owner’s story back in 2013, so it’s great to see this classic is still in great shape.
There was a 1965 Impala two door-hardtop at the High River show that inspired Jim to get the story.
There’s a deep family connection plot to this story—those are the best kind, so you’ll see the full story next year on MyStar.
Finally, Jim spotted a ’77 Camaro at High River that also had a great story behind it.
These cars are fairly common, but the owner’s story behind this one makes it special.
You can’t end a great car show season better than the High River event. It truly is car show Woodstock.
