DOING IT IN THE GRASS 2026 AT AIRDRIE AND ON TO THE RED DEER CAMA MOPAR SHOW

The MyStar guys haven’t been to the car show in Airdrie since 2015, so it seemed like a great idea to revisit this show 11 years later.

That, plus the CAMA show in Red Deer made the decision easy because the two shows are only an hour apart.

The ‘Doing It In The Grass’ show in Airdrie is celebrating 25 years in 2026 so it drew a ton of entries this year—including an incredibly rare 1962 Dodge Dart Max Wedge.

This survivor is incredibly rare and mint at the same time—the story behind it is going to blow you away. Look for it soon on the pages of MyStar.

I also found a one-of-one tribute to a Divco delivery van. You’ve probably seen these in old movies and photos, but you’ve never seen a 7/8 scale version of one.

That’s what this one is—you’ll never guess why and how he built it, but you’ll find out when it shows up as a MyStar owner’s story.            

The final story I found was a 1968 Chevy Caprice two-door hardtop. This was an amazing car, and it was far from stock.

How far? You’ll find out in 2027 when it becomes a brand-new MyStar owner’s story.

Jim found a 1975 Monza with a factory camper option. This is the kind of car that you’ll never see at most shows.

But it was at Airdrie and that’s why Jim found the owner and took the story. Look for it in the new year on the pages of MyStar.

Jim also spotted a 1986 Cutlass at Airdrie. This car has a deep family connection—that what makes for a great story.

You’ll learn everything about this Olds in 2027 when it debuts as a history lesson/owner’s story on MyStar.

There was a 1965 Corvette with 70s custom touches at the show. There was a long and winding road to the current owner and the car is a monster.

A Vette makes for a good story, but the history of this car makes it a fantastic story.     

The last story Jim found at Airdrie was a 1956 Austin-Healey 100-M. This is an extremely rare car, so it made for a natural MyStar story.

That’s why you’ll see it in 2027 on MyStar—it’s just that cool.

The next stop was the CAMA (Central Alberta Mopar Association) show in Red Deer, Alberta. This one was easy because Red Deer is MyStar’s home base and the venue is one exit and a right turn off Highway 2.

There were plenty of cool Mopes at this show, but the one that had the coolest paint was a 1969 Road Runner A-12 tribute. 

There’s a story behind the paint, but the bigger story is the family connection with ’69 Road Runners—this one was a ’69 Runner on high-test steroids. Learn everything about this car in 2027.

Yes, it was a tale of two car shows…in other words, a perfect MyStar day.
