MyStarCollectorCar is now in its 17th year of operation and will celebrate that milestone on early April 2nd, 2026.
We are well on our way to 15,000 articles since our first one back in ’09, an astounding number that even surprises us, considering we do not have a large staff of writers to jump in the game and will never (as in ever) use AI to write our stuff.

Instead, we will continue to use our own written content gathered from the frontlines of the car hobby because we love the hunt for the next story, particularly at car shows because they are such a positive and important part of the vintage vehicle world. Car shows are held primarily during the summer months, and we are also huge fans of summer in general.
2026 promises to be another golden year for MyStarCollectorCar because we intend to attend as many car events as possible again this year. We will also add another platform (MyStarBasic.com) to run in addition to our main platform (MyStarCollectorCar) because we want to generate revenue for our expenses during the upcoming year. You’ll see this site soon when you look at MyStar social media connections.
MyStarBasic.com will be a stripped-down version of MyStarCollectorCar and a landing point for a new source of advertisers who want access to potential customers via our new website. MyStarBasic.com will offer a venue for non-automotive advertisers to showcase their products and services with us.
We get many requests from non-automotive marketing people to advertise with us every month and turn them down because MyStarCollectorCar is strictly an automotive platform where our ad clients have automotive roots.
MyStarBasic.com will be free but will only offer written copy (with no photos) and there will be plenty of ad-driven articles not related to the car hobby in the mix.
There will only be one article per day on this site and it will change the next day–in other words, you’ll only access it for 24 hours. There will be no library of past articles like you’ll see at MyStarCollectorCar.
Personally, we don’t like to see websites littered with ads that slow down the reader’s experience, but MyStarBasic.com will give us a revenue source to help pay the rising monthly expenses of a very large website that will continue to get even larger in 2026.

We will continue to provide our paid subscribers with high-quality articles created only by humans in ’26, along with a variety of photos to view in every article.
