DRUMHELLER 2025 – FREDDIE FLINTSTONE’S HOME TOWN THREW ANOTHER GREAT PARTY

Drumheller, Alberta Canada is located in a world-class dinosaur fossil region, so that’s the basis of their tourism industry.

Drumheller also has a classic downtown setting with buildings that go back to its days as a coal mining boomtown. The car show capitalizes on these heritage buildings because the whole event is held in the center of town.

The organizers are on point in Drumheller because it’s a well-organized show with live entertainment and plenty of booths with cool stuff for sale. They even have the resident velociraptor ready to go every year.

There were many highlights at the Drumheller show, but the first one I found was an incredibly rare 1963 ½ Mercury Marauder S-55.

This was an exceptional car with a southwest United States heritage–but it’s been tweaked a little from its factory days. Look for this Merc’s story later this summer.

The next story I found was a 1949 Ford F-47 farm truck.

These trucks are cool enough on their own, but this one had a major family heritage from Day 1. You’ll see the whole story on MyStarCollectorCar in a few months.

I found another old farm truck story at Drumheller.

This old ’62 GMC pickup had a far different story behind it. It was turned into a beast that is light years away from its former life as a workhorse. The GMC’s young owner wanted something fun to drive—mission accomplished.

The last story I found was a 2004 Subaru Forrester with STI trim.

I had a lot of questions about this car, but the biggest one was about life behind the wheel of a right-hand drive car in a left-hand drive world. You’ll learn more about that and all the other cool things under the skin of this Subaru.

Jim found some great stories too–including a 1971 Aro MG1.

These trucks were used by the Romanian Army and they are extremely rare—this is the only one in Canada. You’ll see the story in a few months on the pages of MyStar.

Jim also took a story about a family legacy 1955 Ford Crown Victoria.

This is a grandfather-grandson plot with some great memories behind it–you’ll see all the details behind it on MyStar in mid-summer.

Jim spotted a 1977 Dodge D-100 that was a junkyard rescue.

These trucks are rare, so saving it was the kind of Walt Disney ending every car guy wants to see. That’s another solid story and you’ll see it exclusively on MyStar this summer.

Jim’s last story was a 1963 Ford Fairlane 500.

It was owned by a younger guy who liked how unique it was–from an old-school cool point of view. He was the right guy to be the next owner, and you’ll find out why in a few months.

Drumheller is a Fred Flintstone kind of place—even though the residents know how many millions of years separated Freddie from his pal, Dino the dinosaur.
