Delburne, Alberta Canada is a village of under 1000 people located in the central part of the province. Delburne has that easy-going vibe found in small towns, along with a friendly atmosphere also found in rural communities.
Delburne is only about 30 miles (50 kms) from our home base so it’s an easy trip for us to attend their annual car show.

Its proximity to our town also means a sizable number of local car guys from our area attended the Delburne car show.
However, we are always happy to see the vehicles we have featured over the years and took a few photos of them. We were even happier to see the same owners with them-after many years in some cases.
The list included a 1966 Olds Dynamic 88 we discovered almost 10 years ago and, even better, it still has the same owner. The car still looks like it just left the showroom, so it was clear the car’s owner was the right guy for the stylish Olds.
There were two 1962 Plymouths at the show, both owned by local car guys, and both with a MyStarCollectorCar article as part of their histories. One of the unusual Mopars was towing a boat and its owner told MyStarCollectorCar that his ’62 Plymouth easily handled the extra load.
We did the story behind a 1955 Chevy resto mod pickup 6 years ago and it is still a showstopper in 2025 because the truck was a trophy winner at the Delburne show this year. The Chevy truck’s owner has managed to make his pickup even better since 2019.
We also gathered some future MyStarCollectorCar stories at the Delburne car show, including a 1966 Mercury Parklane convertible with a hands-on owner who bought it 51 years ago for the modest price of $375 and used it as a driver for a few years.
Life’s responsibilities got in the way for the Merc’s owner and the car was parked long enough for a tree to grow in it, but the Merc drop top story had a long and winding road to a happy ending that will be revealed in a future MyStarCollectorCar article. Stay tuned for all the details.
A 1956 Ford Fairlane four-door sedan with a striking two-tone paint scheme also caught our attention at the Delburne car show. The Fairlane’s owner bought it for the best reason: he wanted to take a sentimental journey in it because his first 1956 Ford Fairlane played such a big role in his life.
We will reveal the complete story behind the ’56 Fairlane in a future MyStarCollectorCar article and advise our readers to check it out.
The Delburne show takes place in a designated section of the village’s Main Street, so we were able to check out every entry in a relatively short period of time. A 1973 Plymouth Satellite was entered into the show and caught our attention because it appeared to be a beefed-up version of a typical Plymouth B-body from that year.
Surprisingly, we were unable to find its owner at the Delburne show but are confident we will cross paths with its owner this year and get its story.
The Delburne car show was a solid blend of past and future stories for us here at MyStarCollectorCar. It was a perfect day in our world.
